Kathie's Pet Portraits

Kathie will paint a beautiful pet portrait for you from your photo.

Order a pet portrait today and let me capture your pet on canvas in a remembrance that you will cherish for a lifetime.  Canvases are unframed.  And remember, when I work from your photos, the quality of the photos you send me is crucial to the accuracy and quality of the finished portrait.

Some tips to taking a great photo of your pet.

1.  Get as CLOSE as possible without blurring the image.

2.  Focus on your pet's FACE and HEAD.

3.  Take the photos OUTDOORS in good natural light (a bright overcast day works best)

4.  The best view of your pet is usually THREE-QUARTERS.

5.  Try to keep the background LIGHT or uncomplicated.

6.  Take photos from SEVERAL ANGLES or different poses.

Here are some of Kathie's pet portraits.  The first is Angus the Golden Retriever.  The second is Moses, a beautiful German Shepherd K-9 Officer.  The cat is Alley (cute name:  Alley Cat).

Kathie teaches a class, Palettes & Pets, at the Orlando Cat Cafe, 532 Cagan Park Avenue, Clermont, FL. where students paint cute cats on wine glasses.  The paint and the water for washing the brushes at the Cat Cafe are placed in containers with covers as it is quicker to close the cover on a small palette when a curious cat jumps up on the table and tries to walk through the paint or drink the paint water.  You need to register for a class at the Cat Cafe by clicking HERE.

The Photos Below:   Molly, on the left, was a shelter dog and her portrait was auctioned to raise money for the shelter.  Zoey, in the middle, is an adorable miniature Yorkie.  The Spaniel, on the right, has a wonderful expression on her face and we use her for a model in some of my Pet Portrait classes.

Photos of some of the Cat Cafe's kitties below:  Marilyn is at top right, and Cinnamon is bottom right.
